Honors the memory of Colonel Thomas B. Vaughn of Warren County, a U.S. Army veteran who served two combat tours in Vietnam and earned numerous military decorations including the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star with "V" device, and Purple Heart

Colonel Vaughn began as a private in the Tennessee Army National Guard, became Staff Sergeant at age 22, graduated from Infantry Officer Candidate School in 1962, and was inducted into the Infantry Officer Candidate Hall of Fame in 1984

After military retirement, he taught American history, Tennessee history, and government at the college level, hosted radio programs on WBMC and WCPI, and wrote columns for the Southern Standard including the "My Turn" series

Served as President and CEO of Bob White Music, Inc. and supported charitable causes including Warren County Animal Control and Adoption Center and the Tennessee Fisher House Foundation

Extends sympathy to his family and directs that a copy of the resolution be prepared for presentation
