Removes geographic restrictions on where telepharmacy systems and remote dispensing sites can be located, eliminating requirements that sites be in rural health clinics, federally qualified health centers, medically underserved areas, or health professional shortage areas

Prohibits the Texas State Board of Pharmacy from adopting any rules, policies, or directives imposing mileage restrictions on the location of telepharmacy systems or remote dispensing sites

Eliminates the requirement for monthly on-site visits by a pharmacist from the provider pharmacy to remote dispensing sites

Maintains existing requirements including: provider pharmacies limited to two remote dispensing sites, monthly controlled substance inventory reconciliation, 3:1 pharmacy technician to pharmacist ratio, and one year retail pharmacy experience for technicians

Takes effect September 1, 2025
