Texas Veterans Commission must conduct a study on using state land, including state parks, to facilitate health and wellness programs for veterans

Study will be conducted in collaboration with the General Land Office, Texas Historical Commission, and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department

The study must identify barriers limiting outdoor recreation opportunities on state land for veteran health services and develop recommendations for promoting wellness and therapeutic interventions

Report on study results and recommendations, including any needed statutory changes, due to the governor, lieutenant governor, speaker, and relevant legislative committees by November 1, 2026

Act expires September 1, 2027, and takes effect immediately with two-thirds vote or September 1, 2025 otherwise
