Mandates that the Secretary of State verify citizenship status with DPS for all voter registration applications submitted through methods other than in-person at DPS offices

Applicants whose citizenship cannot be verified through DPS records have 60 days to provide proof of citizenship to the county registrar, either in person or by mailing certified documents with a copy of photo ID

Applications will be rejected if applicants fail to provide required citizenship proof within the 60-day window, and the Secretary of State must maintain a list of rejected applicants

Changes the effective date of voter registration from 30 days after application submission to 30 days after application approval, with the law applying to applications submitted on or after September 1, 2025
