Amends Section 37.09 of the Texas Penal Code to create a tiered punishment structure for tampering with or fabricating physical evidence

Reduces the offense to a Class A misdemeanor when the evidence altered, destroyed, or concealed relates only to an investigation or proceeding involving a misdemeanor offense

Maintains the offense as a third degree felony for most tampering cases under Subsections (a) or (d)(1)

Elevates the offense to a second degree felony when a human corpse is altered, destroyed, or concealed

Applies only to offenses committed on or after September 1, 2025, with prior offenses governed by former law
