Lowers the county population threshold from 355,000 to 265,000 for commissioners courts to adopt and enforce uniform rules on work hours for county employees

Applies to department heads, assistants, deputies, and other employees whose compensation is set or approved by the commissioners court

Expands the number of Texas counties eligible to implement standardized work hour policies for their employees

Takes effect immediately if passed by two-thirds vote of both legislative chambers, otherwise takes effect September 1, 2025
