Defines "conversion therapy" on minors as unprofessional conduct for licensed mental health providers, including attempts to change a child's sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or eliminate same-sex attractions

Applies to a broad range of licensed providers including psychologists, licensed professional counselors, social workers, marriage and family therapists, physicians, nurses, behavior analysts, and chemical dependency counselors

Exempts counseling that provides acceptance, support, and identity exploration for children, as well as sexual orientation-neutral interventions addressing unlawful conduct or unsafe practices

Exempts counseling that supports a child undergoing gender transition in accordance with established standards of care

Subjects violating mental health providers to disciplinary action by their respective state regulatory licensing boards, effective September 1, 2025
