Texas would observe daylight saving time year-round, eliminating the biannual clock changes, with the new standard referred to as "Texas Time"

The year-round daylight saving time applies to both portions of Texas—areas using central standard time and areas using mountain standard time

The law takes effect only if the U.S. Congress enacts legislation authorizing Texas to observe permanent daylight saving time; without federal authorization, the act has no effect

Scheduled effective date is September 1, 2025, contingent on federal approval
