Amends the model training curriculum for school district peace officers and school resource officers to add a new required learning objective

Adds training on the effects of mental health conditions on student behavior, including impacts from gang influence, drug use, mistreatment, neglect, grief, and trauma

Requires curriculum to cover evidence-based, grief-informed, and trauma-informed strategies that support a safe school environment and protect student mental health

Directs the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement to amend the model training curriculum as soon as practicable after the act's effective date

Takes effect immediately with two-thirds vote of both legislative chambers, otherwise September 1, 2025
