Expands the definition of "retired judicial officer" under Texas Government Code Section 411.201 to include retired judges of constitutional county courts and statutory county courts who served at least 48 months in such courts

Allows these newly eligible retired county court judges to obtain a license to carry a handgun under the same provisions available to other retired judicial officers

Applies only to license applications submitted on or after the effective date; applications submitted before that date remain governed by prior law

Takes effect September 1, 2025
