Requires the State Auditor to include open-enrollment charter schools that receive more than $100 million annually in state revenue in financial risk assessments and audit plans

Expands the State Auditor's authority to conduct audits of qualifying charter schools alongside existing audit responsibilities for state departments and institutions of higher education

Allows the State Auditor to collaborate with the State Board of Education when performing audits of charter schools

Permits the State Auditor to limit audit scope to charter schools determined to pose the highest financial risk to the state

Takes effect September 1, 2025
