Amends Section 57.002(d) of the Government Code to expand when courts in counties with 50,000+ population may appoint non-certified or non-licensed spoken language interpreters

Maintains existing exception allowing non-certified interpreters when the required language is not Spanish and no licensed interpreter is available within 75 miles

Adds new exception permitting justice courts, municipal courts, and municipal courts of record to use non-certified interpreters for Class C misdemeanor proceedings that are not jury trials

Effective date is September 1, 2025
