Requires courts in family violence protective order hearings to inform applicants of available restrictions that can be imposed on respondents found to have committed family violence, specifically including location restrictions

Mandates courts to specifically discuss location restrictions under Sections 85.022(b)(3) and (4) with applicants and directly ask whether they want those restrictions included in the protective order

Requires courts to consider the applicant's expressed wishes regarding location restrictions when deciding whether to include them in a protective order

Amends Chapter 84 and Section 85.022 of the Texas Family Code to add these new procedural requirements

Takes effect September 1, 2025, and applies to hearings held on or after that date regardless of when the application was filed
