Allows school district boards of trustees to appoint a nonvoting student trustee position in addition to regular board members

Student trustees must be enrolled in or entering 11th or 12th grade, be in good academic standing, comply with the district code of conduct, and have parental permission

Student trustees may attend and participate in open board meetings but cannot vote, make or second motions, or be counted toward quorum

Student trustees are prohibited from attending closed sessions and are not entitled to compensation or expense reimbursement

Applies only to school districts not covered under Section 11.0511 (which already addresses student trustees for certain larger districts)
