Adds homeless individuals aged 16 or older to the list of persons eligible to take the high school equivalency examination (GED) without a diploma

Prohibits the State Board of Education from requiring homeless persons to obtain parental or guardian consent before taking the examination

Amends Section 7.111 of the Texas Education Code to expand existing eligibility categories, which already include those over 17, Job Corps enrollees, persons under court supervision, and Seaborne ChalleNGe Corps participants

Applies beginning with the 2025-2026 school year

Takes effect immediately with two-thirds legislative vote, otherwise September 1, 2025
