Requires juvenile probation department employees to provide children and their parents/guardians with a list of local resources, including low-cost or free attorneys, who can assist with sealing juvenile records when a child is referred to the department

Mandates oral explanations of the record sealing process in addition to written materials, with opportunities for the child and family to ask questions at both initial referral and final discharge

Expands notification requirements at final discharge to include officials at the juvenile probation department and Texas Juvenile Justice Department, who must explain the child's eligibility for record sealing

Directs the Texas Juvenile Justice Department to publish a brochure on its website describing the record sealing process and listing helpful resources

Requires the State Bar of Texas to create and maintain an online directory of attorneys who provide low-cost or free representation for juvenile record sealing applications, organized by administrative judicial region

Takes effect September 1, 2025
