General Land Office, in coordination with the Texas Veterans Commission, must conduct a study on obstacles veterans face in accessing burial plots at veterans cemeteries in Texas

Study must also examine opportunities to address operational needs of veterans cemeteries, including locations, maintenance, and other operational requirements

Written report with study results and recommendations for legislative or other action must be submitted by April 1, 2026 to the lieutenant governor, speaker of the house, and chairs of house and senate veterans affairs committees

Act takes effect September 1, 2025 and expires September 1, 2027
