Adds human trafficking awareness to the required enrichment curriculum for Texas public schools offering kindergarten through grade 12

Requires students in grades 6-8 to complete a one-semester human trafficking awareness course covering underlying causes, signs/indicators of trafficking, online safety, trafficker recruitment methods, reporting procedures, and survivor interventions

Requires students in grades 9-12 to complete one-half credit in human trafficking awareness, covering additional topics including commercial sexual exploitation of minors, gender's role in targeting victims, distinguishing trafficking from kidnapping/smuggling, and domestic/foreign policy responses

Reduces elective credits required for high school graduation from five to four and one-half credits to accommodate the new half-credit human trafficking awareness requirement

Applies to students entering sixth grade or ninth grade during the 2025-2026 school year or later, with immediate effect upon two-thirds legislative vote or September 1, 2025
