Requires statutory probate court judges assigned to hear contested matters (upon a party's motion under Section 32.003) to order the estate to reimburse the county for compensation and expenses paid to the assigned judge, to the extent possible

Mandates that the assigned judge also order reimbursement from the parties to the proceeding, in addition to the estate, for county-paid judicial compensation and expenses

Directs the assigned judge to prescribe the amount and manner for equitably apportioning these costs among the estate and parties

Maintains the existing $25 per day additional compensation for judges assigned outside their county of residence, but makes county payment subject to the new reimbursement requirements

Applies only to motions for assignment of a statutory probate court judge filed on or after September 1, 2025
