Requires the Health and Human Services Commission to develop rules establishing training, certification, and supervision requirements for peer support specialists who serve individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities

Defines the scope of services these specialists may provide and distinguishes peer support services from other services requiring professional licensure or certification

Creates a stakeholder work group that must meet monthly to provide input on rule development, including representatives from disability advocacy organizations, peer support specialists, and relevant state agencies

Expands Medicaid coverage to explicitly include peer support services for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, to the extent permitted by federal law

Exempts residents of state supported living centers from the new peer support specialist regulations; the stakeholder work group automatically dissolves once rules are adopted
