Requires school district boards of trustees to appoint at least one high school student to the local school health advisory council, provided a student has applied for the position

Mandates boards take reasonable steps to notify high school students of the opportunity to serve on the council, including posting signs in cafeterias and common areas on district campuses

Requires boards to accept applications for the student position as long as it remains vacant and fill the position as soon as practicable

Maintains existing requirements that a majority of council members must be parents of enrolled students who are not district employees, with one such parent serving as chair or co-chair

Applies beginning with the 2025-2026 school year, with immediate effect if passed by two-thirds vote or September 1, 2025 otherwise
