Incorporates the same air conditioning requirement into the point system for low income housing tax credit applications, making it one of the prioritized criteria for scoring and ranking applications

Requires applicants requesting a letter of support from their state representative to disclose the percentage of their units (and units of associated housing authorities) that are equipped with air conditioning

Mandates that TDHCA award negative points to applicants if any of their units or associated governmental entity units lack air conditioning

Applies to applications submitted during the 2026 qualified allocation plan cycle or later, with an effective date of September 1, 2025
