Grants criminal immunity to health care practitioners for harm or damage resulting from acts or omissions while providing health care services within their scope of practice

Covers practitioners working at licensed hospitals, nursing facilities, ambulatory surgical centers, freestanding emergency medical care facilities, mental hospitals, and home/community support services agencies

Applies to licensed, certified, or registered physicians, physician assistants, surgical assistants, and nurses

Immunity does not apply if harm results from criminally negligent, reckless, knowing, or intentional conduct

Takes effect immediately with two-thirds legislative vote, otherwise September 1, 2025; applies only to suspected offenses committed or discovered on or after the effective date
