Expands statewide retail fireworks sales periods from 3 to 7 designated periods per year, removing the requirement for county commissioners court approval for additional sales windows

Removes the geographic restriction that limited Cinco de Mayo fireworks sales (May 1-5) to locations within 100 miles of the Texas-Mexico border

Adds new mandatory sales periods: February 25 through March 2 (Texas Independence Day), April 16-21 (San Jacinto Day), Wednesday through Memorial Day, and five days before through the last day of Diwali

Eliminates the previous county opt-in system that allowed commissioners courts to authorize sales during Texas Independence Day, San Jacinto Day, Memorial Day, and Diwali periods

Takes effect September 1, 2025
