Expands the authority of the land surveying advisory committee to prepare written reports and recommendations to the board on any surveying-related subject, either on its own initiative or at the request of any interested person

Requires the advisory committee to maintain a written public record of all subjects discussed and actions taken at meetings

Restructures the examination requirements for land surveyors by establishing three separate examinations: fundamentals of surveying (for surveyor-in-training certification), principles and practice of surveying, and a Texas-specific surveying examination (both required for registered professional land surveyor registration)

Reorders educational course requirements to prioritize "land surveying" before "civil engineering" in the list of acceptable coursework for surveyor-in-training and registered professional land surveyor applicants

Applies only to applications filed on or after September 1, 2025, with applications filed before that date governed by prior law
