Expands permissible uses of school safety allotment funds under the Foundation School Program by adding professional development for educators that includes training in classroom behavioral management

Maintains existing authorized uses including facility security improvements (fencing, door/window upgrades, security cameras), emergency communication technology, and employment of peace officers, security officers, and school marshals

Continues allowing funds for mental health support services, licensed counselors, social workers, chaplains, threat reporting systems, and programs addressing adverse childhood experiences

Preserves funding authorization for suicide prevention programs, restorative justice practices, active shooter training, and school safety director positions

Takes effect September 1, 2025
