Expands the definition of beneficiaries of construction trust funds to include assignees of artisans, laborers, mechanics, contractors, subcontractors, or materialmen who provide labor or materials for real property improvements in Texas

Establishes requirements for enforcing an assignment of a beneficiary's interest in unpaid construction trust funds, requiring the assignment to be in writing and made no earlier than the date the assignee has paid the beneficiary in good and sufficient funds

Prohibits assignments of trust fund interests from being made as part of the beneficiary's original construction contract

Limits who may receive an assignment of trust fund interests to parties who are already beneficiaries, trustees, or property owners under the construction or repair contract for the relevant improvement

Takes effect September 1, 2025
