District judges and business court division judges are entitled to a minimum annual base salary of $140,000 from the state, with total compensation from state and county sources capped at $5,000 less than what court of appeals justices receive

Establishes automatic salary adjustments for district and business court judges each biennium, calculated by adding the previous biennium's base salary plus an increase tied to the average percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers

If the Consumer Price Index shows zero or negative change during the preceding biennium, the salary adjustment defaults to zero percent (no decrease)

The automatic cost-of-living adjustment mechanism takes effect beginning with the state fiscal biennium starting September 1, 2027

The bill takes effect September 1, 2025, though the salary adjustment formula applies two years later
