Expands Texas state employment preference eligibility to include individuals who reside in a household with a disabled veteran, are the primary income source for that household, and the veteran has a 100% service-connected disability rating or individual unemployability rating

Qualifying veterans must also be receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) or Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) benefits for the household member to claim the employment preference

Establishes this new category as the 6th priority level in the military employment preference hierarchy, ranking below veterans with disabilities, veterans, military spouses, surviving spouses, and orphans of veterans killed on active duty

Requires applicants claiming this new preference to furnish official documentation to the hiring official, similar to existing requirements for veterans with disabilities

Applies to state agency positions that begin accepting applications on or after September 1, 2025
