Defines "sensitive media device" as a data storage device that a county commissioners court determines has been used to store data regulated by state or federal law regarding maintenance or disclosure

Authorizes county commissioners courts to order the destruction of sensitive media devices that are classified as salvage or surplus property

Requires commissioners courts to determine that destruction is necessary to prevent inadvertent disclosure of information when disposing of the device

Creates an exception to existing county property disposal requirements under Section 263.152 of the Local Government Code for these sensitive devices

Takes effect September 1, 2025
