Requires the Texas Board of Professional Engineers to waive the fundamentals of engineering examination for applicants who have at least 15 years of active engineering practice experience

Waiver applies regardless of whether the applicant has previously failed the fundamentals of engineering examination in Texas or another state

Applicants must meet additional conditions: submit a written waiver request with their application, meet educational requirements under Section 1001.302(a)(1), and the board must determine licensing poses no threat to public health, safety, or welfare

Maintains existing board authority to waive all or part of examination requirements for other applicants based on sufficient qualifications and public safety considerations

Applies only to applications filed on or after September 1, 2025; earlier applications remain subject to prior law
