Amends Section 245.002(1) of the Health and Safety Code to expand the exemption from the definition of "abortion" for miscarriage treatment

Replaces the narrow exemption for removing "a dead, unborn child whose death was caused by spontaneous abortion" with broader language covering treatment for "a miscarriage or suspected miscarriage"

Allows physicians to provide miscarriage treatment using any means they determine medically appropriate, in accordance with the applicable standard of medical care

Maintains existing exemptions for acts intended to save the life or preserve the health of an unborn child and to remove an ectopic pregnancy

Takes effect September 1, 2025
