Allows Employees Retirement System of Texas members to purchase service credit for each month of any 90-day waiting period in which they performed service, regardless of whether they made contributions during that period

When a member purchases service credit for months before their most recent hiring date, the retirement system will adjust their official date of hiring to the first day of the earliest month for which service credit is purchased

Requires the retirement system to calculate deposit amounts for purchasing service credit in a manner that does not result in an actuarial loss to the system

Amends Section 813.514 of the Government Code

Takes effect September 1, 2025
