Amends Article 39.14(d) of the Code of Criminal Procedure to require the state to allow electronic duplication of discovery materials for pro se defendants when ordered by the court, removing the previous provision that only permitted inspection without duplication

Authorizes courts to require or allow the state to redact sensitive information from discovery materials before providing electronic copies to pro se defendants

Requires pro se defendants to sign an affidavit before receiving electronic copies, acknowledging their duty not to disclose documents, evidence, materials, or witness statements to third parties unless specifically authorized or for obtaining legal representation

Mandates that the affidavit or accompanying written information direct pro se defendants to relevant laws regarding preservation and protection of evidence from unlawful disclosure

Applies only to criminal proceedings commencing on or after the effective date of September 1, 2025
