Allows eligible members of the Employees Retirement System of Texas to establish military service credit specifically as law enforcement or custodial officer service credit, rather than only general service credit

Requires members seeking law enforcement or custodial officer military service credit to have already established membership service credit as a law enforcement or custodial officer after their release from military duty

Changes contribution calculations so members claiming law enforcement or custodial officer credit pay based on their first full month of contribution as a law enforcement or custodial officer, rather than a flat $18 minimum

Applies only to military service credit established on or after September 1, 2025; previously established credit remains governed by former law
