Moves personal financial literacy from an elective enrichment course to a required foundation curriculum subject under social studies for Texas public high school students

Requires all students to complete at least one-half credit in personal financial literacy as a separate course, no longer combined with economics as "personal financial literacy & economics"

Changes social studies graduation requirements to include one-half credit in government, one-half credit in personal financial literacy, and one credit in economics, world geography, or world history

Requires the Texas Education Agency to develop a list of free, open-source curricula for the personal financial literacy course and seek federal/private grant funds for implementation

Applies to students entering ninth grade during the 2025-2026 school year or later; students already in grades 10-12 will continue under previous requirements
