Establishes an annual inflation adjustment beginning January 1, 2026, which automatically increases the $150 threshold based on the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers (CPI-U)

The tax-free period runs from 12:01 a.m. Friday through midnight Sunday, occurring before the 15th day preceding the uniform school start date

Takes effect immediately with a two-thirds vote of both chambers, otherwise September 1, 2025
