Requires driver's licenses, commercial driver's licenses, commercial learner's permits, and personal identification certificates to include the holder's "biological sex as either male or female as determined at birth"

Mandates that applications for these documents include a space for applicants to identify their biological sex as determined at birth, limiting options to male or female only

Amends multiple sections of the Texas Transportation Code (Chapters 521 and 522) to replace current "sex" designation requirements with the new "biological sex" language

Applies only to licenses, permits, and identification certificates issued or renewed on or after the effective date, not retroactively to existing documents

Takes effect September 1, 2025
