Adds parental notification requirements under Section 21.057 of the Education Code to the list of provisions from which districts of innovation cannot be exempted

Section 21.057 relates to notification requirements when a school employee is alleged to have committed certain misconduct involving students

Applies to all local innovation plans regardless of when they were adopted, including those created before the effective date of the Act

Existing local innovation plans adopted or renewed before the effective date must comply with the new requirements by September 1, 2025

Takes effect immediately if passed with a two-thirds vote in both chambers, otherwise takes effect September 1, 2025
