Requires Texas Medicaid to provide reimbursement for doula services provided to Medicaid recipients, in addition to existing reimbursement doulas may receive for case management services

Coverage period extends from the date a pregnancy is confirmed by a medical professional through 12 months after the pregnancy ends

Directs the Health and Human Services Commission executive commissioner to seek a federal Medicaid state plan amendment to implement these changes by January 1, 2026

Allows the agency to delay implementation if a federal waiver is required, until such waiver is granted

Takes effect September 1, 2025
