Requires the Texas Department of Transportation to record and archive live video feed from all video cameras used to carry out department functions for a minimum of 30 days from the recording date

Classifies recordings as confidential and exempt from public disclosure under the Texas Public Information Act (Chapter 552, Government Code)

Permits the department to share recordings with law enforcement agencies for criminal investigations

Allows access to recordings for emergency response purposes, including motor vehicle collisions resulting in serious bodily injury or death, bridge collapses, or statewide alert system activations

Takes effect September 1, 2025
