Amends Section 37.005 of the Education Code to explicitly distinguish between "in-school suspension" and "out-of-school suspension" as separate disciplinary options for conduct violations identified in a school's student code of conduct

Limits out-of-school suspensions to a maximum of three school days, while removing this time limit from applying to in-school suspensions

Authorizes principals or appropriate administrators to suspend students for conduct specified in the district's student code of conduct as warranting either type of suspension

Applies beginning with the 2025-2026 school year

Takes effect immediately with a two-thirds vote of both legislative chambers, otherwise takes effect September 1, 2025
