Establishes a seven-member private child care task force composed of one governor appointee (who serves as presiding officer), three senators appointed by the lieutenant governor, and three house members appointed by the speaker

Task force will study methods to reduce costs of high-quality private child care, increase availability, address scholarship wait lists, and expand the number of families able to access care

Study must examine child care pricing and availability, scholarship wait lists, prekindergarten partnerships between school districts and child care programs, and strategies to strengthen the child care industry

Task force may request information from Health and Human Services Commission, Texas Workforce Commission, and Texas Education Agency, which must comply with such requests

Written report with findings and recommendations due to the governor, lieutenant governor, speaker, and all legislators by November 1, 2026; task force abolished June 1, 2027
