Changes the timing of automatic elections to approve school district tax rates from the next uniform election date to the next general election date for state and county officers

Amends Section 26.08(b) of the Tax Code to require school district tax ratification elections be held only in November of even-numbered years, rather than on any uniform election date (which includes May elections)

Maintains the requirement that the election must occur after the election order date and allow sufficient time to comply with other legal requirements

Retains the existing ballot language format that shows voters the proposed tax rate, percentage increase in maintenance and operations tax revenue, and dollar amount of the increase compared to the preceding year

Takes effect September 1, 2025
