Requires insurance policies and benefit plans that provide death benefits for children or health coverage to include benefits of up to $7,500 for disposition of embryonic and fetal tissue remains with a post-fertilization age of 20 weeks or more

Covered disposition methods include interment, cremation, incineration followed by interment, and steam disinfection followed by interment

Applies to a wide range of insurance entities including life insurance companies, health maintenance organizations, group hospital service corporations, fraternal benefit societies, burial associations, employer-sponsored plans, and self-insured plans

Exempts certain plan types including dental/vision-only coverage, workers' compensation, Medicare supplemental policies, long-term care policies, and the state Medicaid program

Takes effect September 1, 2025, and applies to policies delivered, issued, or renewed on or after January 1, 2026
