Extends the deadline for candidates to withdraw from a runoff primary election from 3 days to 5 days after the last day the state canvass may be conducted

Allows the third-place finisher from the general primary election to be placed on the runoff ballot if the candidate who received the most votes withdraws before the 5-day deadline

Declares the remaining candidate as the automatic nominee if a runoff candidate withdraws after the 5-day deadline, canceling the runoff election for that office

Applies only to elections ordered on or after September 1, 2025, with elections ordered before that date governed by prior law
