Removes the automatic right of either party to demand jury sequestration (keeping jurors together and isolated) after the court delivers its charge; instead, courts may order sequestration on their own motion

Requires parties requesting jury sequestration to file a motion at least 10 days before jury selection begins and demonstrate "good cause" at a hearing before the court will order sequestration

Makes disclosure to the jury of which party requested sequestration punishable as contempt of court

Requires separate overnight facilities for male and female jurors when sequestration is ordered

Applies only to criminal proceedings commencing on or after September 1, 2025
