Reduces the statute of repose for claims against architects, engineers, interior designers, and landscape architects from 10 years to 8 years after substantial completion of an improvement to real property or equipment

Reduces the statute of repose for claims against persons who construct or repair improvements to real property from 10 years to 8 years after substantial completion

Shortens the extension period for written claims from two years to one year from the date the claim is presented for all applicable claims

Reduces the grace period for filing suit when damage, injury, or death occurs in the last year of the limitations period from two years to one year after the cause of action accrues

Applies only to causes of action arising from work that commences on or after September 1, 2025, with projects under contracts entered before that date governed by prior law
