Prohibits school district boards from charging fees for late drop-offs or pickups of students at their campus, adding this to the existing list of prohibited fees in Texas Education Code Section 11.158(b)

Applies beginning with the 2025-2026 school year

Takes effect immediately if passed with two-thirds majority vote in both chambers; otherwise takes effect September 1, 2025

Existing law already prohibits fees for instructional materials, required field trips, dress codes for educational programs, diplomas, instructional personnel costs, library materials, required activity admissions, exam fees, and lockers
