Requires family allowance payments to be made in a lump sum, eliminating the court's previous option to order installment payments

Elevates child support claims to Class 3 priority in estate claims, moving them ahead of secured claims (including mortgages and tax liens), which are reclassified as Class 4 claims

Class 3 child support claims include delinquent child support with accrued interest confirmed by court judgment or administrative determination, plus unpaid future child support obligations reduced by family allowance amounts exceeding one year

Applies only to estates of decedents who die on or after September 1, 2025
